HOW HAMANI DOCS WORKS
Quick guides for every tool. What to do when something doesn't work. How to reach a real human if you need one.
๐ Getting Started
HAMANI DOCS is a pay-as-you-go AI document assistant for everyday Australians. There are no subscriptions. You only pay when you need help. Your first 2 actions are free โ that's enough to test what it can do before spending a cent.
How to use HAMANI DOCS in 30 seconds
1
Click Sign In at the top right and choose your Google account.
2
Pick the tool you need: Form Fill, Doc Forge, Ledger, or AI Chat.
3
Type or upload what you want help with.
4
Tick the safety boxes ("I understand this is a draft tool").
5
Click the gold action button. AI does the work in 5โ15 seconds.
6
Copy, save, or download the result. Your first 2 actions are free.
๐ก TIP
After your 2 free actions, top up only when you need to. A pack of 10 actions costs A$9.99 and never expires. Most Australians need help with documents 4โ5 times a year โ that's about A$4.25 of HAMANI per year.
What it does
You upload an Australian government form (or describe it), paste your details, and HAMANI fills in the answers. Output is a clean text version of the filled form that you can copy onto the real form, paste into a website, or save.
How to use it
2
(Optional) Upload the form as PDF, image, Word, or Excel. HAMANI reads it automatically.
3
Type or paste your details: name, address, income, dependents, etc.
4
Type the form context, e.g. "Centrelink rent assistance" or "NSW driver licence renewal".
5
Tick the safety boxes and click Fill Form Now.
Common bugs and what to do
โ ๏ธ "Extraction failed" when uploading PDF
Cause: file is corrupted, password-protected, or larger than 10MB.
Fix: Try saving the PDF as a smaller file (under 10MB), removing password protection, or take a clear photo of each page instead.
โ ๏ธ Output looks like a plain text list, not the actual form
This is by design for now. HAMANI generates the answers; you transcribe them onto the real form. Visual form-filling (where the PDF is filled in place) is in our roadmap for late 2026.
Fix: Use the answers as a guide and copy onto the real form section by section.
โ ๏ธ "Refused: out of scope" error
Cause: HAMANI strictly refuses to help with bank statement editing, payslip alteration, ID document creation, or anything that could be used for fraud.
Fix: If your request is legitimate (e.g. legitimate Centrelink form, real tax return), reword it without trigger words. If you genuinely need to alter financial documents, contact a registered tax agent or accountant.
โ ๏ธ Output cut off mid-sentence
Cause: very long forms can hit the response token limit.
Fix: Split your details into smaller chunks. Run Form Fill twice โ once for sections 1โ5, again for sections 6โ10.
๐ก TIP
For best results: be SPECIFIC about your situation. "I'm 32, single, earning $58,000/year as a nurse, renting in Liverpool NSW for $480/week" gets a much better fill than "Tell them I want rent assistance."
โก Doc Forge
What it does
Generates professional documents from a brief description. Cover letters, complaint letters, references, formal requests, business proposals, NDA-style documents, and 14 other common templates.
How to use it
2
(Optional) Pick a template from the chips: rental cover, employment reference, complaint to bank, etc.
3
Describe the document you want. The more context, the better the output.
5
Download as TXT, PDF, or Word. Edit if needed before sending.
Common bugs and what to do
โ ๏ธ Document is generic, doesn't sound like me
Cause: not enough personal detail in the brief.
Fix: Give 5+ specific facts: who you are, exact dates, dollar amounts, names of people involved, what outcome you want. AI generates better documents with more detail.
โ ๏ธ Word download opens as plain text
Cause: some browsers display .docx files as text by default.
Fix: Right-click the downloaded file โ Open With โ Microsoft Word or Pages. The formatting will appear correctly.
โ IMPORTANT
HAMANI Doc Forge is a drafting tool, not legal advice. For contracts, leases, NDAs, or anything that creates legal obligations, always have a registered Australian lawyer review before signing. Costs A$300โ500 for a quick review and could save you A$10,000+ later.
๐ Ledger
What it does
Categorises receipts and transactions for BAS, GST, or expense tracking. Spots duplicates. Calculates GST splits. Exports to Excel.
How to use it
2
Paste your transactions in any format: bank statement copy-paste, Excel rows, scanned receipts (after extraction).
3
Pick a preset chip: Auto-categorise, GST split, BAS prep, or Find duplicates.
4
Click Process. AI returns clean categorised output.
5
Export as CSV or Excel for your accountant.
Common bugs and what to do
โ ๏ธ Categories don't match Australian tax codes
Cause: AI uses common-sense categories, not ATO-specific codes.
Fix: Add to your prompt: "Use ATO BAS categories: G1 sales, G10 capital purchases, G11 non-capital purchases, etc." HAMANI will adjust.
โ ๏ธ GST calculations seem wrong
Cause: HAMANI assumes Australian 10% GST on all line items by default.
Fix: Specify GST-free items in your prompt (e.g. "fresh food, education, healthcare are GST-free"). Always verify GST splits with your registered tax agent before lodging BAS.
โ IMPORTANT
HAMANI Ledger is for preparation help, not lodgement. Always have a registered BAS agent or tax agent verify before lodging with the ATO. Penalties for incorrect BAS lodgement can be significant.
๐ฌ AI Chat
What it does
A general assistant for asking questions about Australian forms, processes, government services, and document drafting. Like ChatGPT but specialised for Australian context.
How to use it
2
Type your question. Be specific about your situation.
3
Press send. Continue the conversation naturally.
What it's good for
- "What documents do I need to apply for an Australian Tax File Number?"
- "Explain the difference between sole trader and Pty Ltd"
- "What's the income threshold for Centrelink rent assistance in 2026?"
- "How do I cancel a lease early in NSW?"
What it's NOT good for
- Specific legal advice (talk to a lawyer)
- Specific tax advice (talk to a registered tax agent)
- Real-time information (stock prices, weather, today's news)
- Anything not related to Australian documents/forms/government services
โ ๏ธ AI Chat refuses to answer my question
Cause: question is outside HAMANI's strict scope (Australian documents/forms only) or triggers a safety filter.
Fix: Reword to focus on the document/form aspect. "How do I write a complaint letter to my bank?" works better than "How do I get my bank to give me money back?"
๐ค Account
What's on the Account page
- Your balance โ credits remaining + free actions counter
- My Documents โ saved outputs from any of the 4 tools (max 50)
- Account info โ your email, UID, sign-in method
- Download my data โ export everything HAMANI has on you (GDPR/Privacy Act right)
- Sign out โ log out from this device
- Delete my account โ permanently remove everything (cannot be undone)
Common bugs and what to do
โ ๏ธ Account page shows blank / "Sign in" but I'm already signed in
Cause: stale cache or service worker.
Fix: Hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows). If still blank, sign out, close all browser tabs, sign back in.
โ ๏ธ "Sign in with Google" button doesn't open popup
Cause: browser blocking popups, or third-party cookies disabled (common in incognito).
Fix: Use a regular browser window (not incognito). If still broken, click the URL bar lock icon โ enable popups for hamanidocs.com.au.
โ ๏ธ Saved document didn't appear in My Documents
Cause: clicked Save before generation finished, or hit the 50-document cap.
Fix: Wait until you see the full output before clicking Save. If at the cap, delete an old document first.
๐ณ Payments
How payment works
HAMANI uses Stripe (the same payment system used by hundreds of Australian businesses). We never see or store your card details.
- 10 actions โ A$9.99 (~A$1 per action)
- 30 actions โ A$24.99 (~A$0.83 per action)
- 60 actions โ A$45 (~A$0.75 per action)
- 150 actions โ A$99 (~A$0.66 per action) best value
Credits never expire. Use them whenever you need help.
Common bugs and what to do
โ ๏ธ Paid but credits didn't appear
Stripe webhooks are usually instant but can take up to 60 seconds.
Fix: Wait 60 seconds, refresh the page. If still missing after 5 minutes, email
support@hamanidocs.com.au with your email and approximate payment time. We'll fix it within a few hours.
โ ๏ธ Payment declined
Most common cause: card issuer blocking online payment.
Fix: Check with your bank, try a different card, or use Apple Pay / Google Pay if available.
โ ๏ธ I want a refund
Email
support@hamanidocs.com.au with: your email, payment date, reason for refund. Reasonable refund requests are honoured within 24 hours.
